Pastor Jim’s bio and photo are available here. Let’s keep Pastor Jim and his family in our prayers as they prepare for their upcoming move!
In the meantime, we thank Pastors David Vaughn, David Wilson, and Dean Byrom for their service! These three pastors have been performing the pastoral duties at Monaca UMC and First UMC, Aliquippa since January 1, 2022. Pastor David Vaughn retired from Monaca UMC in 2017, and is now fulfilling administrative responsibilities with the congregation through June 2022, as well as preaching at both churches during worship in the months of January, March, and May.
Pastor David Wilson retired from First UMC, Aliquippa in 2014, and attends both First and Monaca UMC regularly. He is performing the administrative responsibilities at First, as well as preaching at both churches during worship in the months of February, April, and June.
Pastor Dean Byrom has remained connected with Monaca UMC since his retirement. He serves regularly at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Pittsburgh. He will preside over the Ash Wednesday service at Monaca UMC on March 2, 2022, and will fill in for Pastors Vaughn and Wilson as needed during the January–June interim period.
These three pastors have been a tremendous blessing to Monaca UMC, and we are grateful to have them back in the pulpit! And we now look forward to adding Pastor Jim Sands to the growing list of amazing pastors who have blessed Monaca UMC with their vision and leadership!
