New Course Offers Path to Personal and Spiritual Growth
Beginning on Monday, January 22nd, Monaca UMC will offer a spiritual gifts course to anyone interested from our church, Aliquippa First UMC, and from throughout the community.
This biblically based course provides participants with a renewed understanding of who God created them to be, what God’s will is for their lives, and how important spiritual gifts are for the Christian community.
Course sessions will review topics such as:
- Why you are unique
- Finding real joy
- Love is the heart of spiritual gifts
- The grace-gifts connection
- Bloom where you are planted
This course was developed by the Rev. Kenneth C. Haugk, PhD, of Stephen Ministries, who is also known for writing the Journeying through Grief series used in our congregation. Patty Davidson—who is a commissioned health minister and a previous course participant—will serve as course facilitator.
The course will be offered at 7pm on Monday evenings, January 22nd through March 25th.*
The cost of the course is being covered by the church; however, we ask that you please register as soon as possible, and no later than Sunday, January 14th, so that we can purchase enough workbooks for all participants. Sign up sheets are available in the church lobby, or you can register by emailing Patty Davidson at info@monacachurch.org.
*The class will not meet on February 12th nor March 11th.
