Fall Fest Brings Together the Community
Monaca UMC’s annual Fall Fest, held October 12th, was deemed a tremendous success after the church welcomed people of all ages for food, fellowship, and fun!
- Our Fall Fest Bake Sale has always been popular among attendees. We sold almost every delicious morsel of baked goods available! Thank you to everyone who contributed to another successful sale, with special thanks to Betsylynn Majzlik, Gretchen Harich, Joanne Ziegler, and all of our bakers!
- Many of the families from the community took advantage of the free pumpkin decorating and face-painting offered to kids. Special thanks to Jane McCullough and Jennifer and Alessa Hamner for organizing these activities.
- Our lunch menu featured favorites like hot sausage sandwiches, hot dogs, haluski, pierogies, and—back by popular demand—Friendship Soup! Special thanks to Mary Margaret Corless, Adam and Patty Davidson, Don Dierdorf, John Hesser, Allen Johnson, Vicki Kane, Marsha Kirschler, Betsylynn and Jerry Majzlik, Laurie Markle, Mark McCullough, Mike McCullough, Eileen Tritt, and everyone who helped in or around the kitchen before and during Fall Fest!
- Attendees also had a wonderful shopping opportunity at our craft show, which featured a variety of handmade goods for sale. Many were tempted by fabulous gift baskets as well! Special thanks to Betsy Cole for organizing the craft vendors and to Vicki Kane for organizing the gift basket drawing.
Many thanks to all of the gracious and dedicated volunteers who came together to prepare for the event, to help get the word out about it, and to welcome people from all over the community! We also greatly appreciate everyone who came and supported the event by purchasing food and vendor items. We had a lot of fun seeing old friends and making new ones at this annual event!
