Coffee Mugs & Kids Club
Monaca UMC kicked off 2025 by introducing a new community ministry: Coffee Mugs & Kids Club.
The first of these monthly gatherings of moms and kids took place on Saturday, January 18th in the Carey Center. The kids heard the story of Noah’s Ark and made crafts based on the story, while the moms sat down to coffee and conversation.
Special thanks to our volunteers: Tina Allen (event coordination/reading/activities), Alessa Hamner (activities), Roberta Houser (coffee and support), and Vera Lovewell (pillow seats and support) for making a positive experience for all in attendance.
Those who participated enjoyed the fellowship and expressed an interest in continuing to meet on a regular basis. All moms and kids are welcome. Your help spreading the word is appreciated!
The next gathering will be held on Saturday, February 15th at 10am. February’s theme is Jonah & the Whale.
