Small Groups & Education

There are plenty of ways for you to connect with others and grow spiritually through small groups and Christian Education!

Sunday School classes are in session! The adult class gathers at 10am on Sundays, and kids have Sunday School immediately following the children’s message during 11am worship. There is no formal registration required for either class.

Coming January 12th: The Adult Sunday School class will be studying the parable of the Prodigal Son, following Timothy Keller’s book and study guide, The Prodigal God. If you are interested in participating, please call our office at (724) 775-6702 or email to info@monacachurch.org.

Pastor Jim Sands is offering a Bible study on the Synoptic Gospels (the books of Matthew, Mark, and Luke in the New Testament), with a focus on Mark.

Part One of this study was held in the fall, focusing on the history of gospels and gospel writers. We studied Mark 1 in the last session.

Part Two begins on Tuesday, January 21th at 1:30pm with a look at Mark 2.

If you prefer to meet in the evenings, Pastor Jim is also offering this study at our sister church, Aliquippa First UMC (2816 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa, PA 15001), on Monday evenings at 6pm.
