Celebrating the Harvest
On Sunday, October 6th—which is also World Communion Sunday—Monaca UMC will have a Harvest Sunday celebration. Food and monetary offerings for the food pantry will be in the sanctuary for a time of blessing during 11am worship.
Please contribute towards the harvest!
While all donations are welcome and appreciated, the food pantry could especially use:
- Crackers (saltines or Ritz)
- Rice (1# bags of white or brown rice or boxes of rice side dishes)
- Boxed or bagged side dishes of any variety
- Canned fruit
- Canned or boxed potatoes
- Spaghetti sauce (canned or plastic jars, please)
- Gravy
- Noodles
- Pudding and Jello
This celebration will also serve as the kick-off to our annual Thanksgiving food drive. Each year we work in the church and the community to collect food items and monetary donations to provide our neighbors in need with all the ingredients for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.
Look for our Thanksgiving wish list in upcoming announcements. Your continued support of the food pantry is greatly appreciated as we help our neighbors in need!
