Pasta-tively Amazing!
Monaca UMC has begun bringing back your favorite fundraisers, starting with the spaghetti dinner held on Thursday, September 14th.
If the number of meals purchased was any indication, the community was happy to have this dinner back! Volunteers produced approximately 190 meals that were served throughout the evening for dine-in and take-out. Finance Chairman John Hesser indicated that this year’s spaghetti dinner might have been our most successful yet in terms of the number of meals sold.
Patrons enjoyed their spaghetti with sauce and meatballs that were made from scratch. The Italian bread that accompanied the meal was freshly baked that morning, and many women of the church contributed the delicious cakes that were available for dessert.
The dinner’s success can be attributed to the many volunteers who sold tickets, made advance preparations, and who helped during the event, and, of course, to the many individuals who purchased tickets! Many thanks to all who supported the event in any way!
Events like these help us not only to keep the lights on, but also — and most importantly — to provide ministry in the community.
Thank you for your support of this and future events!
