Back to Church Sunday
Students are back to school; it’s time to get back to church!
Sunday, September 18, 2022 will be the first day of Sunday School for Kids and Adults. The adults will gather at 9:30am, and *new this year* the kids will be dismissed for Sunday School immediately following the Children’s Message during worship, between 11:15am and 11:30am.
After worship, Nurse Betsy Cole will offer blood pressure screenings, and Dr. Beth Senior will offer medication consultations. It is a good idea to regularly check your blood pressure to establish what’s “normal” for you and if there are any unexpected changes that should be addressed. Betsy Cole is a retired nurse whose combination of faith, compassion, and nurse training shines through this simple yet invaluable service.
Beth is a board certified pharmacist in our congregation who is volunteering her time and expertise to consult with you on your current medications, vitamins, and/or supplements. Beth can look at what you are taking to help identify any potential causes for concern, such as unwanted interactions or side effects. She is also happy to answer your questions about different medications and even offer tips regarding cost savings. While she welcomes questions any Sunday, she is setting aside time after worship on Back to Church Sunday for you to consult with her on your medications or arrange a separate time to do so.
Also following worship, we will have the first of what will become regular coffee hours, which will include a tasty assortment of donuts from DeAngelis Donuts, as well as coffee and a variety of cold drinks, to enjoy while mingling with old friends and new.
No registration is required for any of the activities listed, and participation in any of the activities is optional. If you have any questions, please contact us.
